God bless you all as you learn from the Father patiently.

One of the blessing God has given to us today as his people is the knowledge of Himself. The access to every blessing we have in God is by this knowledge.

2 Peter shows us that God has given us all things to life and godliness through the knowledge of him. [2 Peter 1:3, "According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:" KJV]

That is why we would be empty of many things without the knowlegde of God.

God want us to know Him totally, all His fullness, every of his doings. He is not keeping anything away from us, so He gave us Himself totally. Hallelujah.

We can clearly have His knowledge through His word. But it would be dangerous if we neglect the word and keep assuming for Him based on our feelings on who He is or what He does. That's why we have the word

We will be looking at the character nature of God tonight through His word.

1 John  4:7, "Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.  4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.  4:9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.  4:10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.  4:11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another."

He's telling us He is always accessible here.

Who is God? (Many of us may not have thought of this before right?). First we saw here that God is love, not that He has love. It means love is a person, and not a feeling nor possession. God is love!

So who is Christ here? We all know Christ to be Jesus right? And Jesus is still the Father manifesting to us as Son. This is talking about trinity. Trinity means one personlity manifesting in three dimensions.

For example, I am a bachelor, when I marry I'd become a husband and when I give birth I'd become a father. One person in different stages of life. The same to God! One God manifesting as the Father, manifesting as the Son and as the Holy Spirit. So we see that Jesus Christ is still God right? And God is love,  it means Christ is Love in the same manner.

When I say I am a boy, it doesn't mean I have a boy but that I'm fashioned as a boy, that is, my content is made as a boy. So God is love, doesn't mean that God has love but that His content is love. This is what he manifest so we can call him a loving Father. Out of it is John 3:16.

John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Praise God!

You see, Jesus didn't only start with prayer, he started with love! And He continued in it hitherto.

The manifestation of God's love did not start in the New Testament, it started from day one of creation and God still manifest it till today. That was the reason Adam's transgression could receive forgiveness.

From love you can have gift. I'm sure we know this, marriage relationship for example. You see gift presentation to each other.

Christ is full of love. But it's a pity sometimes, we choose not to see His love and we choose to look at something else. Love was what God gave to us when we went astray.

Isaiah 53:6, "All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all."

Love searched for us and found us! The biggest form of search is love, because it guarantees a finding.


Christ in His person loved us, He wasn't telling us He was showing us the love. He gave us the love also, when we look at the love He gave to us, we saw Jesus. Remember Jesus is still God! God manifested this love to us that He couldn't give us anything lesser than Himself. In short, He gave us Himself. Have we thought of it how convenient it was for God to come into the world? It wasn't easy for God. It was only possible!

He told Moses, that no man can see him and still be alive. But He humbled Himself so much that we could behold His glory and still live. This is Love! The Love came and brought us into Himself!

One need to think of this. The Bible says He humbled Himself even till the death on the cross. [Philippians 2:8, "And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross."]

When we received Christ we received the Love. If any man is in Christ, he has become a partaker of God of Love. He has received the nature (the ability) to love.

Romans  5:5, "And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us."

1 John 4:7-8, "Beloved , let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love."

If you have Christ you must KNOW that you have the love of God in you (1 John 4:8)

Christ is not only someone we know,  but the love of God we have received! He is the person of Love. The Love teaches us how to love. We loved Him because he FIRST loved us! Our ability to love Him is in the knowledge of His love for us! Don't struggle to love Him, know His love for you first. When we became the person of Christ, we became the person that loves. We don't wait to receive love, we give it.

Romans 5:5, "And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us."

They don't walk in love because they don't know Him. But we know Him, we know love. Glory to Abba!

LOVE: THE PERSON OF CHRIST! YOU ARE IN CHRIST, YOU ARE LOVE!
